Let Your Stresses Float Away Meditation

This meditation focuses on removing objects of stress from your life. It is a simple meditation but can be quite effective. It eases your mind, brings temporary relief from stress, and can bring harmony to your mind.  Find a quiet and comfortable place. Sit comfortably. Begin by closing your eyes and focus on relaxing each part of your body. You can do this by imagining a bright white light filling your body inch by inch and relaxing each part of your body as it travels through. Let the light travel from your feet up towards your head. Let the sense of relaxation spread through your body slowly and progress to your head. When this light fills your body, imagine the warmth and calmness of the light completing each part of you. Now imagine a bubble forming just above your head. Fill this bubble with each worry or stress that you have been experiencing. When this bubble is completely filled, let the bubble float away into the distance. All of yo...

Dream Catchers

In Native American cultures, a dreamcatcher or dream catcher is a handmade (usually willow) hoop with a woven web or nets inside. Some have decorative beads, charms, or feathers. It is believed that placing dream catchers above the place where you sleep will catch your nightmares and will bring good dreams to you. An Objibwe legend speaks of the origin of the dreamcatcher that is associated with the Spider Woman, known as Asibikaashi: Asibikaashi took care of the children and the people, as the Ojibwe Nation spread to North America it became difficult for her to reach all of the children. So the mothers and grandmothers began to weave magical webs for the children and the infants. These were originally made from willow hoops and sinew, or cordage from plants. Eventually the “spider webs” were made of fine yarns and nettle fiber. These dream catchers were said to “catch any harm that might be in the air as a spider web catches and holds whatever comes in contact with...

Little is known about their lifestyle and tend to appear only when blizzards or freezing temperatures have forced mountaineers from the higher altitudes. Their attitude towards humans is friendly and helpful but credit is usually given to St Bernard Dogs or other rescue canines. They give warnings of avalanches by whistling or hooting.

Mystical Techniques: Pendulums

A pendulum is a simple tool to create- a cord or chain with usually a crystal attached to the end. This divination tool is usually focused on yes/no questions. If the pendulum is made by the user it typically increases the bond between tool and user. There are two different variations to how they are typically read. The clockwise/counter clockwise and back-and-forth style.  How it is used: Hold it gently within your hand, typically between your fingers so the pendulum and cord can dangle freely. Focus your energy down the cord to build a connection. It is important to program it before you ask any questions. Some people use the clockwise/counter clockwise style with back or forth direction as a maybe. Back and forth in a vertical direction means yes, side to side for no, clockwise for maybe. For both variations, the pendulum standing still means no answer. You can practice a few times to get the hang of it. Empty your mind and focus on a yes/no quest...

Simple "Do-it-Yourself" Oracle Reading

The art of divination can be quite simple. This exercise is an excellent tool in activating your own intuition and developing your intuitive skills. Taking an easy approach to developing your abilities allows you to discover yourself without pressure. Sometimes you can limit yourself when you put pressure on yourself. It can strain the process and makes learning difficult. Intuitive skills are instinct. 1. Find a quiet area that you find most comfortable. 2. Clear your mind and think of a simple question, such as “How will today go?” 3. Focus on your question then clear your mind. Your intuition will come up with an immediate answer. Such as “Your day will go great”. Do not doubt or over think the response. Intuition is an instinct. An automatic answer with confidence is known as your intuitive answer. This exercise may seem quite basic and almost common sense , but it is an excellent step towards your intuitive technique and is an excellent daily practice.

This creature can enable an individual to learn from their mistakes made within their past lives.

Simple "Do-it-Yourself" Oracle Reading

This exercise is simple and can be a joy to do on your own. A tip to remember in the metaphysical and divination realm is- it is easier than you think! This exercise is a simple way to practice day to day divination technique that will enable you to “dip your toes” into the world of divination. This technique is an excellent way to open your intuition.  All you need is a book! This book can be a personal favorite book, bible, dictionary, or even a literary classic. 1. Choose a comfortable and quiet setting to sit with your book of choice. Relax and clear your mind. 2. Focus on your chosen book and riffle through the pages. As you do so, think of a simple question (for example, “What will today be like?”) and focus on this questions as you flip through pages. 3. Allow a page to “call to you” and open to this page. A line will call your attention. This will be your message. Intuitively the page calls out to you and it brings you to your message.

Mystical Techniques: Tea Leaves

Tasseomancy is the term given to the art of interpreting patterns within tea leaves, wine sediments, or coffee grounds. It is considered that the grounds closest to the rim symbolize the nearest future while those closest to the bottom are considered to be in the more distant future. Instructions for tea leaf reading are below: 1. Begin by calming your body and mind and make a pot of tea with loose tea leaves. As you sip your tea, think of a question and concentrate on it. For your first try, try a simple one. 2. When there is barely any tea left, turn cup counter clockwise three wise and cover with saucer then tip upside down to allow all liquid to drain out onto the saucer. 3. Look into the cup to reveal the remaining leaves and shapes that have emerged. Read in a spiral motion from the inside towards the outside. Resource: Sarah Bartlett. (2012). Mystical Techniques: Ceromancy

Candles can light your way through divination. The art of Ceromancy is a divination technique that involves dropping melted candle wax into cold water. The shapes of the solidified wax within the water are interpreted into symbols that hold meanings. The drippings along the candlestick hold meaning as well as the shape of the burning flames. Try out the exercise below but beware when working with hot candle wax, you can be burned: 1. Take two candles and tie them together with a scarlet ribbon. 2. Either place them upright in a bowl of cold water or hold them at an angle, so the hot wax will be able to drip directly into the water. Now light them. 3. Interpret the solidified wax droplets. There are a few traditional meanings for symbols (see below) but other shapes will be up to your personal intuitive interpretation. Traditional Interpretations of Wax Drops Bird: news is coming Circle or ring: It is time for reconciliation Chain: go ahead wi...

Black Blood

The manifestation of negativity In the realm of energy work there is positive energy and negative energy. It is similar to the concept of ying and yang. These energies are all around us and are in our every day lives. Negative energy can attach to us-either by being in a negative environment, being near someone practicing the dark arts, by dealing with someone who is troublesome, as well as having health issues. Black Blood is a term given to an entity that has been created from the manifestation of negativity within the body. Black Blood begins as negative energy that flows from an area within the body that over time if not treated can spread through other areas within the body and eventually can begin to manifest. Have you ever known someone who is usually in a negative state of mind and over time their appearance changes? Their “misery shows” over the years? This is an example.  Over the years I have dealt with many clients who have Black Blood within their systems....
