The Sea Fairy who wears seal skin.
Description
Roane is the Gaelic name for a seal, sometimes these creatures are
called Seal Maidens. Roane is believed to be a sea fairy that wears
seal skins to travel through the seas. They have been known to take
off the skins and can appear in human shape as well. They are known
to be the most gentle of all of the sea fairies. Folktales tell of
the Roane removing their seal skins on the northern shores so they
can dance in the moonlight.
