Mystical Techniques: Pendulums

A pendulum is a simple tool to create- a cord or chain with usually a crystal attached to the end. This divination tool is usually focused on yes/no questions. If the pendulum is made by the user it typically increases the bond between tool and user. There are two different variations to how they are typically read. The clockwise/counter clockwise and back-and-forth style.

How it is used:
Hold it gently within your hand, typically between your fingers so the pendulum and cord can dangle freely.
Focus your energy down the cord to build a connection. It is important to program it before you ask any questions. Some people use the clockwise/counter clockwise style with back or forth direction as a maybe.
Back and forth in a vertical direction means yes, side to side for no, clockwise for maybe.
For both variations, the pendulum standing still means no answer.
You can practice a few times to get the hang of it.
Empty your mind and focus on a yes/no question (for example: Will I have a good day today?)
Watch the direction of the pendulum’s turn.

An example of the clockwise/counter clockwise version:
Will I have a good day today? Turns clockwise. Yes, I will have a good day today!

Please note: Pendulums tend to follow your energy, if you are emotionally invested in the answer it will give you the answer you want. Remember to stay objective when working with your pendulum.

According to Japanese legend when Kuchisake-onna (the Slit-Mouthed Woman) asks you a question, you better give her the right answer or you may suffer a terrible fate. She's one of the most frightening and well-known legends. She is said to brandish large scissors and seek out those who are passing her by. The stories throughout the years detail her horrific appearance- with a jagged and bloody scar resembling a smile. She covers her mouth with a surgical mask at times. She was disfigured and murdered by a jealous husband, she is now a malicious spirit returned from the dead who can appear anywhere at any time. She always asks her prey one question: “Am I pretty?” You better give her the answer she wants to hear or outwit her and hope to escape her wrath.
